Review a Webflow Form Before Launch

Published by whatisADA / Grow Wild Agency · Updated

Purpose and preparation

Check the published Webflow form with its real labels, styles and success and error states. Use the project's audit tools as one input, then test the user process manually. Record any custom code or third-party form handling.

A practical example

A newsletter form has an email field, a consent checkbox and custom success text that replaces the form.

How to check it

  1. Inspect field labels, instructions and required states in the published markup. Confirm that text shown inside an empty field is not its only label.
  2. Trigger validation and a controlled submission failure. Check the announcements, field associations and focus behavior as messages appear.
  3. Complete a permitted test submission and inspect the success state at mobile width and enlarged text. Verify that the visitor receives useful confirmation without an unexpected focus loss.

What can be missed

An editor audit cannot prove that a custom submission script or success animation behaves accessibly. Test the hosted version users will encounter.

Record your test

Use this worksheet to record what you actually checked. Notes stay on this device when you choose Save; they are not sent to us. Avoid personal or confidential information on shared devices.

These are your observations, not automated results or a conformance certificate. A complete evaluation needs appropriate scope, supported technologies, all applicable criteria and relevant page states.

Primary sources and scope

This is independent implementation guidance with original examples. The linked standard contains the full definitions, exceptions and conformance requirements. A criterion or checklist alone does not establish legal applicability or whole-site conformance.
