Purpose and preparation
Use TalkBack on an Android device to test names, reading order and actions on a mobile web page. Record the device, Android, TalkBack and browser versions, since gestures and support may differ between configurations.
A practical example
Locate a product, open its options, select a size and inspect the cart without relying on visual labels alone.
How to check it
- Read the page sequentially with TalkBack and compare the spoken order with the intended task sequence.
- Explore the product options and cart controls by touch. Confirm labels distinguish repeated actions and selected states are announced.
- Change orientation where supported, open and dismiss overlays, and check that focus returns to a useful place. Record the exact state preceding a failure.
What can be missed
A control may respond to a touch exploration gesture while remaining unreachable in sequential navigation. Test both ways of locating important actions.
