Audit an Insurance Quote Questionnaire

Published by whatisADA / Grow Wild Agency · Updated

Purpose and preparation

Review a quote journey with changing questions, validation and a final comparison. Use a sandbox with fictional data. Record how answers affect later questions so the result can be checked for internal consistency.

A practical example

A visitor changes the number of drivers and must review a revised set of driver-detail fields.

How to check it

  1. Map the conditional questions and identify required formats and explanations. Test whether the user can understand a question without relying on an adjacent icon.
  2. Complete the form, change earlier answers and trigger representative errors. Verify that hidden stale answers do not distort the quote or block progress.
  3. Inspect the comparison and review stage, including coverage differences, amounts and correction controls. Record inaccessible third-party identity or payment steps separately.

What can be missed

A questionnaire can be keyboard reachable yet produce contradictory results after an answer changes. Include state consistency in the functional and accessibility review.

Record your test

Use this worksheet to record what you actually checked. Notes stay on this device when you choose Save; they are not sent to us. Avoid personal or confidential information on shared devices.

These are your observations, not automated results or a conformance certificate. A complete evaluation needs appropriate scope, supported technologies, all applicable criteria and relevant page states.

Primary sources and scope

This is independent implementation guidance with original examples. The linked standard contains the full definitions, exceptions and conformance requirements. A criterion or checklist alone does not establish legal applicability or whole-site conformance.
